KNF (Polish Financial Supervision Authority — Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego)
The state authority that supervises the financial market in Poland, including banks, insurers and credit intermediaries. Among other things, it issues recommendations that banks follow when granting mortgage loans.
The KNF keeps public registers in which you can check whether a bank, insurer or mortgage credit intermediary operates legally. It also publishes a list of public warnings about entities suspected of operating without authorisation.
