Overpayment of a loan (nadpłata kredytu)

Paying part of the principal on top of the scheduled instalment. After an overpayment you usually choose whether the bank should lower your instalment or shorten the loan term.

Shortening the term usually saves more interest, while lowering the instalment gives you more room in your budget. Overpayments are subject to the same fee rules as early repayment of the whole loan.
