Konto Mieszkaniowe (housing savings account)

A government programme for saving towards a first home: the state adds a housing bonus to regular payments into a special bank account. The money must be used for a housing purpose specified in the Act.

The programme is aimed at people who do not own a flat or house, and requires regular payments over several years. The conditions, limits and amount of the bonus are set by the Act and may change — check the current rules with the bank that holds the account and on the government website.
