Statutory warranty for defects in property (rękojmia za wady nieruchomości)

The seller's statutory liability for physical and legal defects in the property you bought. For defects in real estate you can, as a rule, rely on it for five years from when the unit was handed over.

You can demand, among other things, removal of the defect, a price reduction and, for a material defect, withdrawal from the agreement. In an agreement between private individuals the warranty can be limited or excluded, so read the clauses on the technical condition of the unit.
