Entry of the mortgage (wpis hipoteki)

An entry in Section IV of the land and mortgage register that establishes a mortgage in favour of the bank. The application for the entry is usually filed by the notary right after the deed is signed.

How long you wait for the entry depends on the court — from a few weeks to many months. Until then the bank usually applies bridging insurance. The court fee for the entry is most often collected by the notary at the signing of the deed.
