Mortgage (hipoteka)
A limited property right in real estate that secures repayment of a debt, most often a loan. If the debt is not repaid, the creditor can recover the money from the property, regardless of who owns it.
A mortgage comes into existence when it is entered in Section IV of the land and mortgage register. After the loan is repaid it does not disappear by itself: the bank issues consent to its deletion, and you file an application with the court.
